Come out for the 2023 Cherry Festival for all things cherry, from picking your own to cherries to cherry pie and cherry cider.

An annual tradition, the Cherry and Apple Festivals celebrate more than 100 years of family history of fruits grown in the Sacramento Mountains. Nichols Ranch and Orchards invites you to enjoy the first of two summer events with breathtaking views of the Tularosa Basin, including White Sands National Park, mountain fresh air and a fun-filled experience that your family will remember and recreate for years to come.
Come enjoy over 20 food and snack vendors and more than 85 arts and crafts vendors and live music from 3 different bands both days. Beer and wine from local and state-wide establishments as well as a petting zoo, mechanical bull, and games, there is fun for all ages.
A free shuttle will be available to take you from the parking area to the top of the festival grounds. Parking area is also not ideal for super low-profile vehicles.
Chairs and tables will be available but you can also bring your own chairs.
** Points to remember: all-around uneven terrain = good walking shoes, cane(s), or wagons or strollers with off-road tires are best for the kiddos, pies or items bought from the vendors; bring sunscreen, hats/sunglasses, umbrellas, still dress in layers and stay hydrated... mountain weather is unpredictable.
